United Commercial Bank PLC (UCB) is looking for a highly motivated and target-driven Relationship Officer – Home Loan (Sales) to join our dynamic team. This role is focused on driving home loan sales and expanding our retail lending portfolio across Bangladesh.

About the Role

As a Relationship Officer for Home Loans, you will play a crucial role in sourcing, acquiring, and closing new home loan business. Your primary responsibility will be to meet sales targets while ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements. You will act as the key link between the bank and customers, real estate developers, brokers, and other channel partners.

This is a full-time position with opportunities to work across different regions of Bangladesh. Candidates with prior banking or NBFI experience, particularly in home loans or retail asset sales, will have a strong advantage. Key Responsibilities

As a Relationship Officer – Home Loan, your responsibilities will include:

  • Business Development: Source and generate new home loan business through direct sales, customer referrals, real estate developers, brokers, and other partners.
  • Achieve Sales Targets: Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets in terms of loan volume, number of files, and quality of submissions.
  • Customer Engagement: Conduct customer profiling, assess financial needs, and recommend appropriate home loan products according to bank policies.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Collect, verify, and submit all required documentation for credit processing while ensuring compliance with Bangladesh Bank regulations and internal policies.
  • Cross-Department Coordination: Work closely with Credit, Operations, Legal, and Valuation teams to ensure smooth processing and timely loan disbursement.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, builders, referral partners, and existing clients to grow the bank’s home loan portfolio.
  • Portfolio Quality: Focus on sourcing low-risk, compliant business to maintain a healthy and profitable loan portfolio.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of leads, sales pipelines, approvals, and disbursements.
  • Sales Promotions: Participate in sales campaigns, roadshows, and promotional events to increase awareness and drive business growth.

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Honors degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of full-time experience in a Bank or Non-Banking Financial Institution (NBFI).
  • Experience in home loans, mortgage, or retail asset sales is highly preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • High level of integrity with a clear understanding of compliance and documentation requirements.
  • Target-driven, proactive, and customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple sales opportunities simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of Bangladesh Bank regulations and retail banking products is an advantage.
